Our mission

This isn't left versus right.
It's honest versus dishonest.

There's more than enough division in this country — and a lot of it was handed to us on purpose by politicians on both sides who lie to our faces, cash in, and leave our states harder to live in than they found them.

The Overton Society is the opposite of that. We're neighbors coming together under a common cause: to make our states livable again while being good human beings to one another. We keep the receipts, we tell the truth, and we leave the tribalism at the trailhead.

Five states are live. Forty-five are being adopted — each one led by organizers who actually live there. This is how a movement built on facts pulls a whole country back toward common sense: precinct to statehouse, one state at a time.

What we stand for

Six principles. No party line.

Truth over team

Both parties have looked us in the eye and lied. We don't grade on a red or blue curve — we publish the receipts and let the record speak.

A livable country

Rent, groceries, gas, safe streets, honest schools. Kitchen-table reality is the scoreboard — not the talking points.

Kids & communities first

Safe classrooms, honest curriculum, and neighborhoods where families can actually put down roots. That's common ground.

Neighbor over party

We're Americans and we're neighbors before we're anything else. This is good people coming together to fix what's broken — like grown-ups.

Receipts, not rhetoric

Every rating is sourced from a verifiable public record before it publishes. Names, votes, offices — traceable, not vibes.

Local power, state by state

Change starts at the school board and the statehouse. We build the map one state at a time, led by organizers who live there.

Data & Methodology

Factual data — names, offices, party, districts, terms and contact — is compiled from Ballotpedia and official government sources (senate.gov, house.gov, and official state sites). Liberty and Parental-Rights ratings reflect The Overton Society's editorial assessment and publish only once sourced from a verified record. Not affiliated with any campaign or party.
